Polar Flow/Beat to Health App

In order to connect your Polar Device to GoVida, we need to connect the Polar app to your phone’s fitness app.

If you have an Apple device, this will be the Health app and if you have an Android device this will be the Google Fit app.

Polar has 2 apps that compliment their products: Polar Flow (android link) and Polar Beat (android link). Regardless of which app you use, you can link them both to your phone’s fitness app as part of the onboarding flow in each app.If not you can sync both Polar apps to your phone in the settings.

Polar Flow

Open the Polar Flow app and press the three dots in the bottom right corner of the app (Fig 1). From the list, press General settings and scroll down until you can see your desired health app (Fig 2).

Polar Beat

For Polar Beat, open the app and sign in. Press the Settings icon in the bottom right corner and scroll down until you see your desired health app (Fig 3). Press that button and follow the instructions on screen (Fig 4).

Health App to GoVida

Once you’ve connected your Polar App(s) to your phone’s fitness app, you just need to link GoVida to your phone’s fitness app.

To do this, open GoVida and log in. From here, select your profile icon in the top right corner and from the list, select trackers. Then press the chain icon next to Apple Health or Google Fit followed by the adjacent icons until the top row is purple.

Please note, if you are using an Android device, you will not be able to track activities through Google Fit. You will need to link your Polar App(s) to another app with an activity integration (like Strava) this can be done in the Settings page of your Polar App(s).
