Background

BDO, a global accountancy firm selected GoVida to power their wellness strategy. BDO were seeking to drive positive wellness behaviors and create a dynamic working culture within a rapidly growing team.

The Brief

With a successful graduate programme in place and an expanding team, BDO were looking to drive positive, proactive wellness.

The requirement was to offer something that was inclusive and appealed to a diverse workforce with the added challenge of remote / hybrd working environment and staff missing the human connection that regular office working provided.

The GoVida difference

GoVida provided a holistic wellbeing program that incentivised colleagues to increase their level of daily physical and mental wellbeing activities.

Through gamification and reward incentives, colleagues were encouraged to engage with positive mental health activities including programmes in meditation, mindfulness, emotional intelligence and resilience.

A program of regular team challenges also created a sense of team collaboration and engagement whilst simultaneously increasing wellness behaviours.

Since launch within a department in one office location, demand for GoVida has increased rapidly at BDO. The platform has now been rolled out and adopted across multiple offices in the UK.

“BDO LLP have worked closely with GoVida to implement the App and promote Health and Wellbeing within our Business Assurance department. We now have an active user based of over 200 employees with plans to roll out further to other business streams. Feedback from employees has been positive on the motivation and redeemable rewards which supports the other wellbeing initiatives BDO promotes. We have seen staff encouraged to check-in to many of the GoVida certified venues such as gyms, yoga studios and equestrian schools with those staff taking advantage of the membership discounts on offer and the in-app Mindfulness Diploma. Since implementation we have noticed an increase in employee engagement in wellbeing initiatives across all grades largely driven by the GoVida leader boards and team competitions being run. We aim to use the GoVida App as a training springboard for a 3 Peaks Challenge we are running in the summer and create other cross-department competitions.”
