Background

Breast Cancer Awareness Month takes place every October and is marked globally to raise awareness, support early detection, and fund life-saving research.

The Brief

Our objective was to create a meaningful and informative challenge to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, combining movement with education to help raise awareness, encourage prevention, and inspire collective action.

The challenge was designed to engage colleagues in a shared journey, where every step not only contributed to personal wellbeing but also helped unlock key information around reducing breast cancer risk, from nutrition and lifestyle tips to the importance of early detection and regular screening.

As participants progressed through the challenge, they reached milestones that revealed expert-backed guidance on healthy habits and support resources. Each milestone also triggered a charity donation, adding purpose to every stride and turning activity into impact.

The initiative successfully encouraged movement, raised awareness in a supportive and inclusive way, and empowered colleagues to look after themselves and one another — all while contributing to an important cause.

The Outcome

  • Engagement: 73%
  • Average Daily Steps before Challenge: 6,537
  • Average Daily Steps during Challenge: 10,196
  • % Increase: 56% ⬆️
